At VEGA Services, we treat your data the way we treat your home — with care, honesty and respect. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it at any time.

1. Who We Are

VEGA Services ("VEGA", "we", "us") is a home-services company based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. Contact us at connect@vegaservice.in or +91 7207719922. We operate the VEGA mobile application on iOS and Android, and this website at vegaservice.in.

2. What We Collect

2.1 Information You Give Us

• Phone number — for OTP sign-in via Firebase Authentication
• Name — displayed on bookings
• Address — flat / house, building, landmark, area
• Booking history — services, time, price, notes
• Payments — handled by Razorpay; we do NOT store card or UPI details
• Bug reports — your description, optional screenshot, build version

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device info — OS, app version, model (for crash diagnostics)
• Location — only with permission, only to suggest your area
• FCM token — for booking update notifications
• Crash reports — anonymous stacks via our in-app reporter

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Firebase — Auth, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Hosting
• Razorpay — payment gateway (PCI-DSS Level 1)
• Google Maps — live worker tracking and map tiles

3. How We Use Your Data

• Create your account (Firebase Auth requires phone + OTP)
• Accept, dispatch and complete bookings
• Send service updates (assigned, en-route, arrived, completed)
• Process payments via Razorpay
• Detect and fix bugs
• Improve services based on aggregated trends
• Meet legal obligations (GST / tax retention under Indian law)

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We never sell your data. We share only with:

• The worker assigned to your booking — name, phone, address, booking details
• Razorpay — for processing payments
• Google / Firebase — our infrastructure (asia-south1, Mumbai)
• Indian government authorities — only if legally compelled

5. Where Your Data Lives

All personal data is stored on Google Firebase servers in Mumbai (asia-south1), inside India. Backups retained 30 days. We do not transfer data outside India.

6. Account Deletion

6.1 What gets deleted

• Your Firebase Authentication record
• Your user profile (name, phone, preferences)
• All saved addresses
• FCM push notification tokens
• Wallet balance (zeroed)
• Phone added to a deleted_accounts audit ledger

6.2 What is retained (and why)

• Booking records are anonymised — identifiable information removed; record retained for Indian GST / accounting law (currently 8 years). Consistent with Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v).
• Wallet transaction ledger — retained as immutable financial audit; phone number anonymised on deletion.

7. Your Rights

• Access — view all data we hold (email connect@vegaservice.in)
• Correct — fix anything wrong directly in the app
• Delete — see Section 6 above
• Restrict — turn off location, notifications, etc. via device settings
• Object — opt out of non-essential processing

8. Security

• All data in transit encrypted via TLS 1.3
• Firebase data encrypted at rest
• Payments handled by Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1)
• App releases signed by Google Play App Signing
• Backend uses Firebase Cloud Functions with restricted IAM roles

9. Children

VEGA is for users 18 and older. Write to us if you believe data of someone under 18 has been collected — we'll delete immediately.

10. Changes

Material changes are notified via the app and email at least 7 days in advance.
